Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) is expected to receive approximately $380,000 in cash incentives from ϳԹ Smart, Entergy New Orleans’ energy efficiency program, for implementing a series of energy-saving upgrades across its campus.

Spotlighting our communities at the AABE ϳԹ Policy Summit

TheAmerican Association of Blacks in ϳԹbrought together a diverse network of energy professionals representing every energy career field during its 2023 ϳԹ Policy Summit held in Washington, D.C. in December. The AABE is a non-profit organization that promotes the advancement of Blacks and other minorities in the energy industry. The Summit serves as a platform for amplifying the voices of people of color on energy policy matters and attracts excellent speakers. By fostering valuable dialogue with policy leaders, the Summit addresses economic opportunities and their impact on underserved communities.

LIHEAP application period begins July 25

Officials with the Low-Income Home ϳԹ Assistance Program have announced residents can begin submitting applications Monday, July 25 for help with the costs of summer cooling bills, including those from Entergy Arkansas and other utilities.
