Entergy commemorates the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina through community partnership and service

On Aug. 29, 2025, New Orleans and the surrounding region marked the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, a storm that left much of the city of New Orleans underwater, displaced thousands of residents, and caused widespread destruction. Despite these challenges, the people of New Orleans demonstrated remarkable resilience, unity and a determination to rebuild.

Entergy Arkansas announces $45K in scholarships to 9 Arkansas HBCU students to empower future leaders in technology

Entergy is proud to invest in the future of higher education by awarding $5,000 scholarships to nine outstanding students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Arkansas. Through the Power of Prosperity program, Entergy seeks to help remove barriers to students’ academic success by providing free access to financial assistance and resources to the institution supporting the student.

As summer temperatures drive up electricity use, Entergy Texas is partnering with local nonprofits to provide $100,000 in emergency bill assistance to qualified older adults and individuals with disabilities through its Power to Care program.

Entergy commemorates Hurricane Katrina with community action and environmental impact

In partnership with Rebuilding Together New Orleans, Entergy will hold another employee-driven Day of Service on Aug. 29, commemorating the 20th anniversary of Katrina. That initiative will focus on home weatherization efforts to improve energy efficiency and lower utility costs for some of the city’s most vulnerable residents.
