Process for Restoring Natural Gas to Flood Victims

Entergy gas distribution personnel have completed assessing the flooded areas in East Baton Rouge parish. Approximately 22,000 Entergy gas meters were submerged by floodwater. However, floodwaters did not infiltrate the Entergy gas system and gas customer outages were minimal.

New Orleans’ Gas System Performs Better Than Before Katrina

Employees in Entergy's gas business have reduced leaks in New Orleans by half since Hurricane Katrina destroyed a significant portion of the system in 2005.
