A winter storm will begin impacting our service area starting today.Â

Entergy Mississippi is prepared for wintry weather, cold temps
While restoring power outages caused by severe weather and high winds that moved through the state Friday, Entergy Mississippi has also been monitoring and is prepared to respond to another major weather event expected across our service territory early this week.

Entergy Arkansas customers encouraged to prep for week ahead
As extreme cold moves into the state this weekend, Entergy Arkansas is working hard to make sure customers can stay warm by preparing equipment and resources for the coming days. Power restoration during extreme cold can take longer due to increased demands on equipment, people and resources. We have crews available and equipped to respond to outages across our service territory. Restoring your power is our top priority as quickly and safely as possible in the event of power outages, and we appreciate your patience.

Entergy Arkansas is prepared for the second round of severe weather
Entergy Arkansas is prepared for the second round of severe weather, and your safety and comfort remain our top priority. We have successfully restored power to approximately 42,000 customers impacted by the first weather event last week. With low temperatures in the single digits and estimates of 4-6 inches of snow expected across parts of the state this week, Entergy Arkansas is working hard to help customers stay warm.

Entergy Mississippi winter storm update – 1/13/24, 1:30 p.m.
Early morning storms bringing strong, gusty high winds entered our Entergy service territory Friday morning causing fallen trees and broken tree limbs, resulting in outages and damages to our facilities. Additionally, the winds continued to gust through the day Friday generating new outages. As of 9 a.m. today, Entergy has restored service to more than 22,086 customers. About 1,516 customers remain without power as of 1 p.m. Damage assessment has identified damages to 92 poles, eight transformers, 67 cross arms, and 260 spans (71,500 feet) of downed wire. A workforce of more than 580 damage assessors, vegetation crews, line workers, and support personnel are diligently working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible through this event.

Entergy Mississippi winter storm update – 1/12/24, 8 p.m.
Early morning storms bringing strong, gusty high winds entered our Entergy service territory causing fallen trees and broken tree limbs resulting in outages and damages to our facilities. Additionally, the winds have continued to gust through the day generating new outages. Â As of 7:00 p.m., 3,887 customers remain without power. Damage assessment has identified damages to 83 poles, 7 transformers, 58 cross arms, and 225 spans (61,875 feet) of downed wire. A workforce of over 580 damage assessors, vegetation crews, line workers, and support personnel are diligently working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible through this event.

Entergy Arkansas winter storm update – 1/12/24, 7:30 p.m.
Entergy Arkansas has restored more than 35,000 power interruptions as a result of severe weather that impacted the state overnight Thursday and throughout Friday. As of 7:30 p.m., just over 4,000 outages remain. Peak outages reached 18,600 Friday morning around 9:30 a.m. Crews are continuing to work in below freezing temperatures to ensure we provide premier service for our valued customers.

Even as Entergy employees continue to respond to outages caused by widespread severe thunderstorms, our workers are prepared to respond to another major winter event across our service area.

Entergy Mississippi winter storm update – 1/12/24, 2 p.m.
Early morning storms bringing strong, gusty high winds entered our Entergy service territory causing fallen trees and broken tree limbs resulting in outages and damages to our facilities. Outages peaked at 10,597 customers impacted at 9:15 a.m. As of 1:30 p.m., 5,712 customers remain without power. As early damage assessment has begun, we have identified damages to 52 poles, 2 transformers, 57 cross arms, and 141 spans (38,775 feet) of downed wire. A workforce of damage assessors, vegetation crews, line workers, and support personnel are diligently working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible through this event.

Entergy Arkansas winter storm update – 1/12/24, 11:30 a.m.
Approximately 13,000 customers remained without power after severe thunderstorms that brought strong winds, lightning, hail and possible tornadoes. The majority of customers without power are expected to be restored by tonight at 10 p.m.
