Entergy Texas storm update – 12/30/24, 12:30 p.m.
Nearly all customers restored following outages from multiple tornadoes
Crews have safely restored power to nearly all customers after multiple tornadoes, heavy rain and strong winds caused outages to the Entergy Texas service area. As of 12:30 p.m., approximately 1,300 customers are without power, down from a peak of 16,300 customers at 5 p.m. Saturday.
°Õ³ó±ðÌýÌýconfirms the tornado that hit Montgomery, Chambers and Jefferson County on Saturday was an EF3 with a wind speed of 161 mph. Customers in the hardest hit areas may not be able to receive power due to structure damage or loss. If power can be safely received, restoration is expected today.

We urge customers to use caution after the storm and remember these important safety tips:
- Stay away from downed power lines and areas of debris.ÌýEnergized power lines may not be visible among the rubble.
- Report downed lines immediately to Entergy at 1-800-9OUTAGE (1-800-968-8243), and call your local police station or fire department.
- Don’t walk in flooded areas or standing water.ÌýRemember that wet tree limbs can conduct electricity.
- Keep your distance from working crews.ÌýWork sites can have any number of hidden dangers for the public, and distracting crews can cause accidents to happen.
