More than 75% of customers restored within 24 hours of the storm’s initial impact

Entergy Texas continues to make significant progress after severe thunderstorms caused widespread outages Wednesday night. Crews have successfully restored power to more than 75% of impacted customers within 24 hours of the storm’s initial impact.

As of 1:30 p.m., approximately 9,200 customers are without power, down from a peak of approximately 50,000 outages Wednesday night. Most customers are expected to be restored today, except for customers in Montgomery and Madison Counties, which remain the most heavily impacted areas. Customers in Montgomery and Madison Counties are expected be restored Friday afternoon.

• Drink fluids, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
• Wear loose, lightweight clothing and a hat.
• Wear sunscreen; sunburn affects the body’s ability to cool itself.
• Replace salt lost from sweating by drinking fruit juice or sports drinks.
• Air conditioning is the best way to cool off; if you areÌý, do so safely.
• Avoid spending time outdoors during the hottest part of the day, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
