Fighting the Flood: Entergy Employees Restore in Texas
Entergy has restored more than 200,000 outages caused by multiple landfalls Harvey made since its arrival one week ago. The storm has now caused outages in all of our service territories with its sweep through Arkansas and Mississippi over the last 24 hours.
Entergy Repairing Damage to Critical Infrastructure
Flooding is significantly impacting Entergy Texas’ ability to restore power to customers in some areas. Several substations that distribute electric service to many customers over large areas are experiencing outages due to flooding. In addition, multiple transmission lines that feed areas are also affected.
Entergy Texas Continues Harvey Restoration

Entergy Employees Battle Harvey’s Flooding
Flooding is significantly impacting Entergy's ability to restore power to customers in some areas. Several substations, which distribute electric service to many customers over large areas, are experiencing outages due to flooding. Restoration of these locations is also being hampered, as workers are unable to access these areas. When flood waters recede and it is safe to do so, Entergy workers will assess damage and begin restoration of these assets.

Crews Continue Restoring Power After Harvey
This afternoon, 64,801 Entergy Texas customers were without power, down from a peak this morning of over 80,000. Currently, there are 4,322 customers that are without power and are unable to be restored at this time due to high water. Entergy has restored 128,664 outages since Harvey began impacting our area on Friday. Our crews continue to safely restore power as quickly as possible.
Hurricane Harvey Restoration Update: Texas
This morning, more than 83,000 Entergy Texas customers were without power. Currently, there are 4,956 customers that are without power and not accessible to be restored due to high water access issues. Entergy has restored 110,697 outages since Harvey began impacting our area on Friday and our crews continue to safely restore power as quickly as possible.
Outages Increase After Harvey Hits Golden Triangle
Entergy Texas restoration workers are using air boats, high water rescue vehicles and helicopters to access areas where catastrophic flooding caused by Harvey continues its destruction in Southeast Texas.
Crews Working to Restore Power to Thousands of Customers
At 1 p.m. just over 29,000 customers were without power - down from a peak of 41,000 customers. Restoration for the majority of the outages is expected to be Saturday evening, if customers can take power at their locations. However, the storm continues to cause problems in Southeast Texas, so it could take longer to restore power in some areas.
